The 9060 is a new expression of the refined style and innovative design that made the 99X series the origin of some of the most iconic models in New Balance history. The 9060 reinterprets familiar elements from the classic 99X models with a warped sensibility inspired by the proudly futuristic and technologically visible aesthetic of the Y2K era. The steering rods, carried over from the 990, are extended and used on throughout the upper to give a sense of visible movement, while the wavy lines and reduced proportions of the sculpted midsole emphasize the familiar ABZORB and SBS cushioning platforms.
